Find your Niche
When searching out a new career we likely head to the main job boards. This does seem to make perfect sense because of the number of positions posted there. This is a good plan but it doesn't mean that you should totally disregard the niche ob boards. Niche job boards do not attract the same amount of traffic but those that search them do generally find that the jobs posted there are of a higher quality. Not every recruiter placed their advertisements on the main job boards. Those that are looking for a specific type of candidate generally place theirs on a niche board. Employers looking for a recent college graduate are far more likely to use the university sites than the larger boards. This way of thinking pays off for them in that the number of candidates is smaller and of higher quality. While performing your job search definitely take advantage of the larger board but use a few of the niche boards as well. Bigger isn't always better.
