No business could exist forever without any change. It is because the world is changing all the time and in order to cope with the change of the world, which is developing into a more and more advanced one, business managers have to change the management at suitable time. However, in most of the cases, the change management theory practice would bring a lot of unnecessary harmful impacts on the business. For example, the employees would feel nervous about the change and some of them would think that they would no longer be suitable to the company and they would be afraid of being sacked. Therefore, every manager or business owner would have to learn the change management theory so that the business would not collapse when these changes are applied to the company.
First of all, they should know clearly that everyone would have different reaction towards the same time. For example, someone who is afraid of snake would scream crazily when he or she sees the snake while someone who lives in a forest would treat snakes as friends. Similarly, in the case of business world, employees would react quite differently when changes are announced. Managers have to understand the feeling of some nervous employees and should not make them more nervous by adding pressure to them. Besides, they have to understand that everyone would have sometime in their mind. They would have some basic wants in their mind. Some would want to have ways to be promoted, while some would just want a stable job with punctual salary. A manager should try to have some face to face, one to one discussion with the employees to understand what they want and comfort them by saying that the changes would not affect them much. Of course, managers should not lie. If the change really would bring great change to the employee, they should tell honestly, but in a better tone. The last piece of change management theory is that managers should give time for the employers to work with the change. They should not expect that the change would produce perfect effect one day after it is applied because the workers have to figure out the new ways to do their new tasks. When time is given to them to work with the change, they would become more confident and they would fear less. Therefore, the company management would change successfully if they know the change management theory.
