Petroleum engineering is finding ways and methods, that are safe and efficient, to bring natural resources to the surface, but today, with the alternative energy field increases, petroleum engineers are studying ways to work with clean energy products that have less harmful carbon emissions. Petroleum engineers are interested in earth sciences and are paid to travel around the world with some living in foreign countries.
