Hmmm seems we have something here…

Getting impatient for the CJRLC Games!? Well, something seems to be in the office - not sure what it is - maybe we’ll take a peek under this big, blue cloth……

The CJRLC Games will make their debut on Tuesday, March 18 at the Middletown Township Public Library, at 4pm, as part of the CJRLC Tech Group’s meeting. The whole meeting will be about GAMING and we will reveal our games (Xbox 360’s and Nintendo Wii’s) and our equipment (projectors) and we will talk all about gaming in libraries and the CJRLC Gaming Project!

The wiki is really coming together and some people will be taking their gaming kits with them back to their libraries that day! Kits will be borrowed by a library for a week. We will make arrangements for you to pick up/drop off the gaming kits either at the CJRLC office, or in some cases, a library nearby. In a few cases, we will drop off/pick up the kits at your library, when situations allow. For special occasions (an on-going tournament or something like that) you may be able to borrow a kit for more than a week. As much advance request as you can give us for something like that will be appreciated. We are working on an on-line request form that will be on the wiki for you to use. For the meantime, you can send me an email and I will keep the list in first-come, first-serve order at the moment. We are also working on putting up a calendar so you can see when and what is available.

Kits will contain a packing list covering what is in the kit, as well as one of the consoles, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii, and some games and accessories. For example, if you are getting the music gaming kit and you get the Dance, Dance, Revolution game, of course you will get the two Dance, Dance, Revolution pads for head-to-head action! If you do not have a tv set or projector to use for gaming, you can borrow one of our projectors. We suggest you make the gaming program “larger than life” whenever possible. Large screens, high volume, turn the lights down, etc.!

We hope you will give us your feedback when you borrow the gaming kits. We want your questions, comments and best-practices on the wiki, on the listserv, here on the blog! Please share! We hope you’ll take pics of your great gaming programs and share those as well!

Okay, now for what’s under there…… drumroll please…… (and yes, that’s THREE Ninteno Wii’s!)
